moldavite

This unique pendant has a piece of green moldavite in a setting of antiqued soft solder.  Moldavite is a green glass created in the extreme heat and pressure when a large meteor impacted the earth 15 million years ago in present-day Germany.  Sand and minerals were instantly liquefied and thrown into the air, then cooled as they fell back to earth.  These glassy blobs are more commonly known as tektites, and that’s what moldavite is.  When you wear this pendant you are wearing a mineral created by a prehistoric extra-terrestrial impact…how cool is that?  Free shipping!
